Air Montenegro at the presentation of the results of the DANOVA project
On the eve of the celebration of the International White Cane Day on October 15, the Airports of Montenegro presented an improved infrastructure accessible for the independent movement and functioning of persons with fully or partially impaired vision.
Airports of Montenegro, as a partner of the IPA project "Innovative transport services for people with complete and partial visual impairment", organized an event attended by representatives of the Montenegrin national airline. In addition to the executive director of the Airports of Montenegro, Vladan Drašković, who addressed the audience and spoke about the importance of the project, the manager of the Airports of Montenegro project, Nina Planinić, presented the planned pilot actions. After the director of the Association of the Blind of Montenegro, Goran Macanović, spoke about his experience at other airports, representatives of Air Montenegro gave an overview of the principles of safety and security of persons with disabilities during the flight. On this occasion, the Director of the Association of the Blind of Montenegro thanked Air Montenegro for its participation in all such and similar meetings and at the same time praised the implementation of Braille in our aircraft. After the meeting, the testing of the infrastructure was started, as well as a tour and familiarization with the improved elements of accessibility.
