April 28, 2022

04/28/2022. in the multimedia hall of the library for the blind of Montenegro, organized by the blind for Bar and Ulcinj, a seminar was organized on the topic "Respecting human rights and prohibition of discrimination of persons with disabilities as road users", which was also attended by Ivana Radović as a representative of the Air Montenegro company.

With the aim of the action "Let's make traffic accessible for the disabled", the seminar is designed to raise the level of awareness of the target groups and the public. Those present also discussed the improvement of legislation regarding the use and improvement of the general level of accessibility of the physical environment, public transport and services for persons with disabilities in traffic.

During the seminar, Ivana Radović, as Head of General and Legal Affairs of Air Montenegro, pointed out that the Company's goal as a socially responsible company is to transport passengers, as its core business, first and foremost safely. Apart from the principle of safety and security of persons with disabilities, Air Montenegro takes care that all passengers are satisfied with the service provided. In addition to referring to some general rules and principles, Ivana Radović stressed that it is important that aids for persons with disabilities are safely placed and used in accordance with the procedure during the flight. It is also important to familiarize yourself with all advanced, more modern electronic aids in a timely manner, both on the part of the passengers and on the part of the Company's employees.

The organizers of the seminar praised the employees of the Air Montenegro planes, starting with the way they help the disabled, pointing out that the plane's staff reacts positively to the guide dogs, which is not always the case with other types of transport. The above shows that employees in aviation have a higher level of respect for regulations, openness, responsible approach and respect for diversity.

As a socially responsible company, Air Montenegro will continue to actively participate in the implementation of all legal norms important for improving the general level of accessibility of public transport and services for persons with disabilities in traffic, which is why participation in such, and similar events is extremely important.
