Charter lines opened new markets
The national airline's charter lines achieved significant results this year and greatly influenced the opening of new markets and the season's extension.
In the period from April to September, over 300 flights were made to: Tel Aviv, Katowice, Yerevan, Bratislava, Cairo, as well as other destinations, while it is expected that in total by the end of October only within the framework of charter flights, Air Montenegro will transport almost 50,000 passengers.
Acting CEO of Air Montenegro Dragana Frantov Nikolić says that the figures clearly show how important it was for Montenegro to connect with new markets.
"During a challenging period for the aviation industry, Air Montenegro quickly adapts to new circumstances and focuses on new markets. The expansion of the fleet and the leasing of 180-seat aircraft created the conditions for us to be more competitive with our offers, so that the flights are almost fully booked. We are planning many charters for September and October, with which we also influenced the extension of the tourist season, and we are especially pleased that in cooperation with our partners we managed to present Montenegro as an attractive destination even outside the high season period", says Frantov Nikolić.
According to Frantov Nikolić, preparations are underway for the next season so that, in addition to the existing ones, the national airline will connect Montenegro with a larger number of new destinations and important broadcast markets. "If all the negotiations started regarding the implementation of flights are finalized, we will need to rent two large planes for the next summer season", said Frantov Nikolić.
Counting both regular and charter lines, Air Montenegro operated to 16 destinations and transported a total of more than 250,000 passengers since January of this year.
