On the wings of the new national airline Air Montenegro
Air Montenegro today started its regular commercial flight from Podgorica to Belgrade.
On that occasion, the executive director Mr. Predrag Todorović spoke in front of the company and said: "It is a great honor for me to be here to mark the beginning of our regular commercial traffic. Although the company was founded on February 8, we managed in 3 and a half months to raise the company to legs. Two things gave us the energy to succeed in this project: to serve the citizens of Montenegro and, above all, the economy of Montenegro, and to be available to state entities such as our national team and all those with whom we have a common goal".
Also on the flight was the Minister of Economic Development, Mr. Jakov Milatović, who on this occasion was flying to Belgrade, where he will meet with the Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, Tatjana Matić. On the first flight of Air Montenegro, the minister said: "I am very pleased to attend today the first commercial flight of the new national airline Air Montenegro! With this, the Government has fulfilled the promise made five months ago that Air Montenegro will take off before the main tourist season".
The first flight was also attended by the President of the Board of Directors of the Airport, Mr. Nebojša Đoković, who said on this occasion: "It is a great pleasure and honor for me to be able to wish good luck to our new national airline company on behalf of Airports of Montenegro and to our friends and partners I wish you pleasant flights, a large number of passengers and that they expand the number of destinations".
