Air Montenegro at the tourism fair in Prague

March 18, 2024

Air Montenegro in cooperation with the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro organized a business workshop and presentation for Czech tour operators and the media in Prague.

The business workshop was realized as part of the Holiday World & Region World tourism fair in Prague, which lasted from March 15 to 17, where the tourism offer of Montenegro was presented by national and local tourism organizations.

Representatives of NTO, local tourism organizations and business met with tour operators, who expressed great interest in introducing or expanding already existing programs for Montenegro.

"We have had Montenegro in our offer for some time. Direct flights to your country are very important to us and we really have excellent cooperation with travel agencies and hotels. So far, we have the most partners on the coast, but we believe that we will expand the offer for Montenegro, and this workshop offers excellent opportunities for that", said Tomaš Kanda in front of the tour operator Čedok.

The representative of Air Montenegro in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Pavel Točik, pointed out that there is great interest in Montenegro.

"We need events like this so that tour operators can see how impressive Montenegro's offer is. At the workshop, we had excellent hotels and local tourist organizations that showed all the possibilities that this destination has. There was quite a lot of interest and I'm sure this will have a positive effect on the upcoming season. I can truly confirm that interest in Montenegro is growing year by year", said Točik.

In addition to flights to Brno and Prague, this year Air Montengro will also fly to the third largest city in the Czech Republic, Ostrava.

The head of sales and customer support from our company Milena Stojanović said that the markets of the Czech Republic and Slovakia are of great importance and emphasized that there are great expectations when it comes to flights to these countries.

"We are proud that our company's direct flights connect Montenegro with the Czech Republic for the third year in a row, and Slovakia for the second year in a row. This year we are doing it with the planned flight schedule, from Tivat to Brno, up to three times a week from June to September; from Tivat to Prague up to five times a week from May to October, and from Podgorica to Bratislava up to three times a week from June to September. Driven by the great interest of tourists from the Czech Republic and Slovakia in Montenegro, this year we further expanded our offer by introducing a new line, Podgorica - Ostrava. We will fly to this destination once a week, from June to September of the current year", points out Stojanović.

The business workshop in Prague was attended by the following local tourist organizations of Budva, Herceg Novi, Bara and Tivat, Montenegro Stars, Budva Riviera, Hotel Olea Ulcinj, Maestar Hotel and Casinos and Avala Resort & Villas, in addition to the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro and the Air Montenegro company.

The National Tourist Organization emphasized the great importance of this type of presentation of Montenegro's tourist offer.

"We are very happy that many tourism businessmen signed up for this workshop, bearing in mind that this is one of the best ways of their promotion, where they can have direct contact with tour operators. The visit from the Czech market shows growing trends and we are sure that with good air connections and with adequate promotion, we will continue to record good results in this market. According to the data of the Statistics Administration MONSTAT, during the previous year we had about 53% more tourist arrivals from the Czech Republic compared to 2022, and about 32% more compared to 2019".
